anyways. this is the first friday i have worked in...hell, i dont even know. at least a year, probably a lot longer. luckily its one of 2 that i will have to work this month. and im only working about 10 days all month long, so i guess i cant really complain too much. besides, it is crazy busy so that keeps me awake and helps time go quicker. not too bad.

plus somehow despite all that, i actually got a pretty decent amount of painting done. hopefully by tomorrow i will have the 2 fiends and 2 pink horror icons done so i can crank out that second unit of horrors. im kind of on a demon painting tear lately...

i blame it on the fact that ive started playing 40k again. using my fantasy army in 40k has turned out to be a lot more fun than i would have thought!

eentsy weentsy spider, went under a car tire...

so my cat spider was lounging in the driveway wednesday night, and emiley didnt see him and backed over him. his pelvis is broken and he broke a tooth, so hes in a lot of pain. after $500 for xrays and pain meds too. ug. and he is on cage rest for the next couple of weeks, so ghost has been evicted from his kennel in the meantime. good thing he is a sled dog, he can sleep outside and not feel too bad about it. spider however, isnt eating, so ima take him back to the vet in about an hour. i really hope i dont have to put him down. i dont know that im ready for that.

1. Wrapping paper? the cheapest kind. wrapping paper is a pretty stupid if you think on it.
2. Real tree or Artificial? Artificial. had a real tree a couple years back, and im still finding needles.
3. When do you put up the tree? traditionally, thanksgiving night. realistically, first week of december.
4. When do you take the tree down? after new years.
5. Do you like eggnog? silk nog baby. soooooo good. bonus points for added rum.
6. Favorite gift received as a child? star wars toys. i have a pic of me and my dad playing with a falcon and a TIE fighter, i couldnt have been more than 5. its adorable.
7. Hardest person to buy for? fuckin family. all of them. you know who you are.
8. Easiest person to buy for? nobody. i hate buying presents, we should just all give cash.
9. Do you have a nativity scene? lol...um, no.
10. Mail or email Christmas cards? neither. another christmas tradition that is kinda retarded.
11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? Um?? a friggin green turtleneck. i mean come on...really? for ME? egads.
12. Favorite Christmas Movie? either the ref or christmas story.
13. When do you start shopping? mid december more often than not.
14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? not that i can recall...but probably, it seems like something i would do.
15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? funeral potatoes. or those little reeses peanut butter cups. has to be the little ones, for some reason they taste so much better.
16. Lights on the tree? white...theyre built into the tree. sooooo much easier.
17. Favorite Christmas song? either carol of the bells or o holy night. depends on the day.
18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? home. leave travelling to other times of the year.
19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer? probably, but i can probably also do the scout oath and the sacrament prayer too if i tried. all things im not about to do.
20. Angel on the tree top or a star? neither. the tree is too damn tall.
21. Open the presents Christmas Eve? used to get to open one, but now im older and wiser and can excercise some patience.
22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? it always feels so rushed ever since i grew up. i miss having xmas season be long and drawn out.
23. Favorite ornament theme or color? red and gold bells.
24. Favorite for Christmas dinner? ham and funeral potatoes. its the only way to be.
25. What do you want for Christmas this year? honestly, i dont really want much of anything. i could use a new tv, but it aint gonna happen, so im not sweatin it.

demon scheming

so with (supposedly) a RTT in orem in january, i think i can actually crank out my demon army in time for it. here are the basic bones of it all:

keeper of secrets (lv 4, siren song, soul hunger, torment blade 625)
herald on steed (bsb, -2 ld banner, allure, torment blade 295)

1000+ in characters. at the moment, i have slaanesh, khorne and tzeentch in the list, but im wondering if i should just go slaanesh/tzeentch. tryin to be less power gamey and all. the problem im running into is 2 fold. for core, i have to have either go horrors (could be construed as cheese) or demonettes (simply crappy). plus i already have 10 bloodletters painted. and fleshhounds are really good. like really good. and fit with the speedy theme im goin for. i just dont think its gonna happen. 3 colors it is.

so im thinkin core:

and special:

5 seekers, champ and siren standard

and rare:

fiends. i have flamers, but people really hate them, so i think ill just go 2 units of 2 fiends.

i have access to screamers, mayhaps i should try and work them in, keepin to the heavy tzeentch theme.
